Do you have a computer? Then you can throw away your radio and listen to a myriad of online radio stations. You can also throw away your TV and watch TV online – or by fitting your computer with a TV card. You can even through away your old chess board and play chess on your computer.

You will need one other thing apart from a computer to play chess. You are going to need a specialized piece of software, like the Lokasoft-developed application ChessPartner. Novice or experienced, every user out there can get ChessPartner and enjoy a nice game of chess.


Here is what you can expect to get from ChessPartner:
- Customize the way ChessPartner looks by using Office 2000 style menus
- In Teacher mode, click a piece on the chess board and all legal moves are displayed
- You can play against other ChessPartner users, via the internet. You can select a random opponent from the web, or you can play against a friend. You can connect directly with that friend if you know his IP address.
- Support for the Nalimov endgame table bases
- Read, write and update PGN files
- Game histogram that offers a graphical overview of the scores in the game, making it easy to identify where you made a mistake.
- ChessPartner can speak out the moves it plays.

Installation – you can install ChessPartner on just about any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. You can install it on Windows XP, on Windows Vista, and Windows 7. The installation process is pretty straightforward and should complete in no time at all.
